EUF-Lavanchy-prize
Don McGlinchey,
since decades member of the Irish CMAS-Federation (Irish Underwater Council)) and former president of this federation, representing Ireland since the beginning in EUF and doing a lot for creating the European Underwater Federation was nominated for the Jaques-Lavanchy-prize by CMAS-Europe and was elected as award-winner by the EUF-General Assembly in Dec. 2018 in Vienna. The award was officially given to Don on stage at the Duesseldorf boat-show. CMAS-Europe congratulates Don!
John Geurts,
Vice-President of CMAS-Europe , former president of the Nethelenad Diving Federation (NOB) was nominated for the EUF-Lavanchy-prize in 2021 and received the prize at the General-Assembly of EUF in May 2022 in Eilat/Israel. EUF acknowledges his enormous work in the field of underwater scientific and medical themes concerning scuba diving.
